Our Staff
Nancy Bell Practice Manager Nancy and her husband Joe moved
to Vermont in 1990 from “The City”, New York City that is. Nancy began her animal related career there working for the
ASPCA. Shortly after arriving in the Green Mountain State, she landed a job at GMAH and here she has remained until
this day (fortunately for us!) Having held every job possible from vet tech, to receptionist, to surgery tech and
finally to practice manager, Nancy has proved to be an irreplaceable member of our staff. Along with her husband Joe,
she shares her small Vermont farm with Toulouse, a very mellow and loyal VFD (Vermont Farm Dog) who is named after
Toulouse Lautrec. The famous 19th century French painter was known for his short legs, as is Toulouse the dog. He is
Nancy’s constant companion. Rounding out the family is a CATastrophe named Niles – an orange tabby who loves to spend a
winter day chasing snowflakes. |

Bethany Hathaway Lab Manager
I graduated from VTC in "98 with an associates degree in animal science.
I traveled around a bit until I finally landed here at GMAH in 2005, and I've never been happier.
I live in South Hero with my 3 cats - Phoebe, Simon & Dexter. We love it out in the islands! It's
so peaceful & beautiful. I love being a vet tech. I get to care for, love and smooch on animals all
day, and I wouldn't have it any other way! I am proud to be a member of the GMAH staff. We are a
talented group, and I feel we offer a very high quality of veterinary medicine to our clients &
patients. It makes me feel good to think I might have made a difference in an animal's life, or
hopefully, at least a better experience at the vet's office.

Angi Coppola Technician
Angi is a newcomer to Vermont. Originally from NH, she began her career in veterinary technology in 2001 when she enrolled
in a high school program that allowed her to attend the local veterinary hospital for job shadowing. Her strong interest in the
field and work ethic earned her a job working in the kennel after high school. Soon after, she was trained on-site in the technical
skills needed to assist the veterinarians. She worked her way up the ladder, becoming a fully skilled veterinary technician. After
working in general practice for 5 years, Angi wanted to expand her knowledge and experience. She began working at a 24hr emergency
clinic to further expand her skill level. After working in emergency for 3.5 yrs, she relocated to Montpelier this past April with
her husband, Stefano and their dog, Lucy. She is happy to be a part of the great team at Green Mountain Animal Hospital!! In her
spare time, Angi enjoys spending time at home, movies, hiking, kayaking, and visiting family and friends! |
